About Springs Preserve
The Springs Preserve is the premier place in Las Vegas to explore the valley’s vibrant history through 180 acres of botanical gardens, interactive science and nature exhibits, trails, live animal shows, classes and events. The Preserve promotes an ethic of environmental and cultural conservation within one of the world’s largest Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design (LEED®) platinum A rated campuses. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and recognized by the North American Plant Collection Consortium, the Springs Preserve houses some of the region’s most sensitive archaeological, biological and natural resources.
The Preserve features 3.65 miles of trails that meander through 110 acres of native habitats and archaeological sites, allowing guests to follow in the footsteps of adventurous explorers and ancient peoples. Along the trails, a wealth of evidence reflects not only thousands of years of local history, but major historical themes of the American West. The Botanical Gardens at the Springs Preserve—recipient of the 2012 Horticulture Magazine Award for Garden Excellence—boasts a lush and colorful variety of native and non-native plant species.
